"Images of Nature"

As part of the 1999 Manistee National Forest Festival the Manistee Art Institute presented the "Images of Nature" art exhibit in the T. Walter Hardy Exhibit Hall at the historic Ramsdell Theatre.  The multi-media exhibit underwritten by the National City Bank of Michigan/Illinois included paintings, photographs, sculptures, woodcarvings and other art media depicting nature in the Manistee area.   Floral displays were presented by the Portage Lake Garden Club and the Spirit of the Woods Garden Club.  Visitors from 22 states and 37 counties within Michigan signed the exhibit guest book.
